CD Arcanes Symphonique
This beautiful CD gathers the recordings of Richard Dubugnon’s music made by the Orchestre National de France between 2001 and 2009. We can hear the World premiere studio-recording of the first five Arcanes Symphoniques, under the baton of Laurent Petitgirard, as well as two important song cycles composed on the poetry of Richard’s librettist Stéphane Héaume : the quirky and pictoral Triptyque op.23 for baritone and thirteen soloists, sang by Thomas Dolié and conducted by Debora Waldman, and the exotic and operatic Songe Salinas op.36, sung by the charismatic mezzo-soprano Nora Gubisch, accompanied by Fabien Gabel and the Orchestre National de France.
« The joy in the orchestra’s swooning sonic possibilities is everywhere evident in the three works recorded here » Erica Jeal, The Guardian, 2017
